Transfer to park gate dinner and overnight at the gate, B,L,D.

Chogoria Gate, Road head Camp,
We ascend to Road Head Camp at 3200m, taking 4 hrs trekking.

Day 4
Road Head Camp, Minto's Hut,
We ascend to Minto's Hut taking 5 hrs. Minto's Hut is is situated on a plateau overlooking Lake Michaelson 300m below. There are spectacular views of the summits from here. At, Minto's Hut, accommodation is camping, roughing it, B,L,D.

Day 5
Minto's Hut, Austrian Hut,
The trail continues to Austrian hut via tooth col which is situated between several rock towers. Overnight at Austrian hut, B,L,D

Day 6
Austrian Hut, Lenana, Mackinders, Met Station
An early morning start to attempt the summit of point Lenana, which is only about one hour from Austrian hut. We will descend to Mackinders Hut for breakfast before further ascent to Met Station for overnight, B,L,D.

Day 7
Met Station, Naromoru Gate, Nairobi
Descend to Naromoru Park Gate to meet our vehicle transfer back to Nairobi to arrive at approximately 2-3pm, end of your 7 Days Chogoria down Naro Moru trek.

How many people will be in my safari vehicle?
Six at most, and that is a hard cap. Our Land Cruisers seat seven, so there is always a spare seat and every guest has a window and unobstructed access to the pop-up roof hatch. A fully private vehicle is available on any itinerary for a supplement.
When is the best time to do this Mt. Kenya trip?
July to October is peak season, with the Mara River crossings and the best trekking weather, and it carries the highest rates. March to May is the long rains: green landscapes, newborn game, very few vehicles and the lowest prices of the year. January to February is dry, hot and excellent for general game viewing. There is no bad month, only months that suit different things.
