Day 1
Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
On this morning we start your 6 Days Amboseli Tsavo West Taita Hills Safari Tour. Drive across the Athi plains home of the proud Masai tribe, to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive is planned. In addition to elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and the elusive leopard, nearly every vista within the park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Day 2
Explore Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is big game country: Elephant, Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo and Giraffe. Two game runs are planned today, both which will introduce you to the intense beauty and drama that fill each day here. Predators stalk the herds of grazing animals, recreating the age-old drama of life and death under the African sun, in a setting so lushly beautiful. We return to our lodge or cozy Camp for a steaming bath, cocktails and a sumptuous dinner.

Day 3
Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
Today we enjoy a game drive to the secluded heart of big game country. In addition to elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and lions, nearly every vista within the park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Breakfast at the lodge; optional visit to a Masai Village and depart for Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, check-in and lunch follows. An afternoon ‘Spice’ game drive in this vast Park is planned. Tsavo West National Park covers 20,808sq km (8,034sq miles), The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops. With a permanent water source, the park is virtually guaranteed enormous herds and excellent game viewing including cheetah, lion, leopard and hyena and a herd of over 3,500 elephants.

Day 4
Tsavo West – Taita Hills Game Sanctuary
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, depart for Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Lunch today is served at Taita Hills Lodge and a game drive follows in the sanctuary until sunset. Wild game residing at the Sanctuary include elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, Oryx, lesser Kudu and cheetahs. Overnight at the Salt Lick Lodge designed for lofty game viewing from its thatched roof rondavels and walkways.

Day 5
Explore Taita Hills Game Sanctuary
Spend a full day on morning and afternoon game drives. The majority of the Sanctuary is unfenced, and as a consequence there is a considerable fluctuation in wildlife numbers particularly elephant, buffalo and giraffe in response to both water resources and food availability. Local herds of plains game e.g. zebra, hartebeest, Grant's gazelle, eland etc. support resident populations of predators including lion, leopard and cheetah throughout the year.

Day 6
Taita Hills – Mombasa Town
We start our day with an early morning game drive. After breakfast, continue with the mid-morning game drive in the sanctuary with lunch at Taita Hills lodge. After lunch depart back to Mombasa arriving in the early evening. Transfer and drop off at your Beach Hotel, end of your 6 Days Amboseli Tsavo West Taita Hills Safari Tour.

How many people will be in my safari vehicle?
Six at most, and that is a hard cap. Our Land Cruisers seat seven, so there is always a spare seat and every guest has a window and unobstructed access to the pop-up roof hatch. A fully private vehicle is available on any itinerary for a supplement.
When is the best time to do this Kenya Safari trip?
July to October is peak season, with the Mara River crossings and the best trekking weather, and it carries the highest rates. March to May is the long rains: green landscapes, newborn game, very few vehicles and the lowest prices of the year. January to February is dry, hot and excellent for general game viewing. There is no bad month, only months that suit different things.
