Day 1
Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will start your 3 Days Lake Manyara Safari Tour. We take a drive into the Manyara National Park making a brief stop for a walking tour at Mto Wa Mbu (pronounced OOM-tow-wa-OOM-boo), a village that's now home to people from many different tribes from Tanzania. The area has been turned it into an oasis through Irrigation; it used to be just grazing land for the cattle of the nomadic Masai people. Visit with the locals as you tour the village and also try some of the local banana beer. After the tour continue to the park for a gammed. After lunch at a picnic site we proceed on another game drive before we return to our Lodge on perched on the escarpment.

Day 2
Lake Manyara National Park
The game in this petite park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see tree-climbing lions, which we may declare our day’s quest, being so thoroughly sated with the big herds of preceding parks. Manyara’s great shock of pink flamingoes will also delight.

Lake Manyara – Arusha
Breakfast at your lodge, and then depart by road back to Arusha, end of your 3 Days Lake Manyara Safari Tour

How long is the 3 Days Lake Manyara Safari Tour?
This itinerary runs 3 days, starting and ending in Nairobi. It is a private departure, so the dates are yours to choose and the pace can be adjusted. If you would like more or less time in Tanzania Safari, we can rebuild the itinerary around that.
How many people will be in my safari vehicle?
Six at most, and that is a hard cap. Our Land Cruisers seat seven, so there is always a spare seat and every guest has a window and unobstructed access to the pop-up roof hatch. A fully private vehicle is available on any itinerary for a supplement.
When is the best time to do this Tanzania Safari trip?
July to October is peak season, with the Mara River crossings and the best trekking weather, and it carries the highest rates. March to May is the long rains: green landscapes, newborn game, very few vehicles and the lowest prices of the year. January to February is dry, hot and excellent for general game viewing. There is no bad month, only months that suit different things.
